Eliminatory (will be upload a video with the registration form)

Semifinal

Final

The three tests will be held online.

8.- Eliminatory online: The first eliminatory test will be done online, sending the link of a youtube video.

More than the quality of the video, what is valued is the interpretation (the sound has to be acceptable which means that a video recorded with a smartphone is more than enough).

The lengths of the videos must be:

  • at least 2 minutes for category A,
  • at least 6 minutes for category B,
  • at least 8 minutes for category C.

For all categories: the repertoire eliminatory phase is completely free: they can be pieces that will later be played in competition as well as pieces played previously or videos already published. It is not important that the videos last long, the important thing is to respect the minimum duration.

Once the registration is closed, the videos will be published on the contest website (http://www.concursopiano.es) and there will be the possibility of registering and voting for the contestants.

The most voted video will be rewarded with a domain with a wordpress installed for a year, to broadcast the interpreter.

The selection committee will take into account the preferences of the public, which will constitute 20% of the grade for the next phase.

9.- Online semifinal:

In the online semifinal, the candidates will record a video from home on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. (Central Europe Time)

The video will be recorded in one take without the possibility of repeating it. To guarantee that no repetitions and corrections are made, the video will be recorded as follows:

A 4-digit PIN will be communicated to the contestants at 5:50 p.m. on May 1, 2021 via email and whatsapp.

Before recording the contestant candidate will have to pronounce the four digits of the PIN. This will show that the video was recorded at that time.

The video will be recorded with any smartphone or tablet in a fixed position (without moving it), seeing the entire figure of the candidate and the face at the moment of the pronunciation of the PIN

The video will then be uploaded to YouTube communicating as soon as possible the link of the video to the contest through an email specifying in the object NAME OF THE CONTESTANT – CATEGORY. The video can be uploaded in “hidden” mode.

Any editing or modification of the video is prohibited.

It will be taken into account that having recorded the video at 6:00 p.m., the contestants of Cat.A should have uploaded the video around 6:20 p.m., those of Cat. B around 18:35 and those of Cat. C around 6:40 p.m. With small margins this guarantees that the execution is unique, extemporaneous and without editing.

Contestants must send the PDF files with the scores to the email of the contest organization before May 1, 2021. The email is concursopiano.avanza@gmail.com

The jury will take a minimum of 10 days to evaluate all the tests and arrive and announce the finalists.
